Job Summary:The Marketing Coordinator II oversees marketing promotion and publicity functions for a college division or the University. Creates and implements marketing strategies using advertising media direct mail etc. Coordinates production of materials specified in marketing plans and calendars. Consults with product and/or program development.
Additional Department Summary:Manages and grows digital marketing through paid advertising email campaigns website and landing page development/updates search engine optimization and aids in website accessibility in the department of Marketing and Recruitment for programs and departments within the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE). Provides leadership and delivers breakthrough online marketing strategies creative campaigns and measurement through analytics and optimization. Responsible for the paid digital advertising portion (at least $50000) of the UA Online annual marketing budget. Aids in the creation and maintenance of OTIDE communication plans. Assists the Director of Marketing and Recruitment and Assistant Director of Digital Marketing in testing and implementing tools used in marketing OTIDE programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree and two (2) years of marketing public relations communications or advertising experience; OR masters degree and some marketing public relations communications or advertising experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree and three (3) years of marketing public relations communications or advertising activities experience; OR Masters degree and one (1) year of marketing public relations communications or advertising experience.
Skills and Knowledge:Excellent communication skills. Ability to think creatively and use both data and intuition to inform decisions. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Understanding of the higher education industry to help the UA Online team and OTIDE achieve its business goals. Ability to multitask and give attention to details. Knowledge of AP style guides. Proficiency in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite Google Suite etc.). Strong verbal writing planning and organizational skills. Proficiency in the use of computers software and other relevant technology.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of HTML and/or other programming language WordPress Power BI and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.
