ABOUT ROCKET LAB

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services complete spacecraft design and manufacturing payloads satellite components and more all with the goal of opening access space. The rockets and satellites we build and launch enable some of the most ambitious and vital space missions globally supporting scientific exploration Earth observation and missions to combat climate change national security and exciting new technology demonstrations.

Our Electron rockethas become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered more than 230 satellites to orbit all while we work to develop Neutron our upcoming medium-lift reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Our Space Systems business designs and builds our extensive line of satellites payloads and their components including spacecraft that have been selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.

ABOUT SUPPLY CHAIN AT ROCKET LAB

Rocket Labs Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials products and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers missions. The Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. In this role you will set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets manage inventory look after shipping manage direct and indirect procurement and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together and are critical to our success.

WHAT YOULL GET TO DO:
As an Inventory Coordinator youll work with a variety of teams contributing to our upcoming our workshop youll be across our innovative divisions and youll get to see our latest rockets under development in our workshop. Youll play your part in ensuring all our trusted experts are supported with the stock (tools and parts) required for the role. To be successful in this role we are looking for an organised team player who likes to be on their feet someone that takes pride and is versatile to lend a hand to meet deadlines. You will own your space to ensure stock levels are satisfactory and that the team have everything they need. There is plenty of variety in the role to keep you busy and ample opportunity to learn lots and make some connections along the way. As a team youll contribute to the picking packing and dispatching ensure all items have been securely checked and where it needs to be. Additional adhoc duties will be required with some lifting involved. If you like variety process and take pride in keeping the organisation ticking smoothly we want to hear from you. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOULL HAVE:

  • A positive and proactive working attitude supporting our internal teams
  • Previous experience in a similar role displaying high attention to detail
  • Hands on stock management experience and quality control in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly responding to internal and external requests
  • Previous experience working under pressure and prioritizing effectively
  • A team player mindset working towards a common goal
  • Previous inwards and outwards experience
