Technical Officer in the Department of Medicine School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 532780)
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bioinformatician to join our research team focusing on kidney research and inflammatory and fibrotic disease mechanisms.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive analysis of RNA-Seq and single-cell RNA-Seq data
- Process analyze and interpret metagenomics datasets
- Develop pipelines and scripts for sequencing data preprocessing quality control alignment and downstreamanalysis
- Assist in preparing data visualization for publication
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Masters degree or above in Bioinformatics Computational Biology or a related field withat least 2 years post-qualification experience
- Demonstrated experience with RNA-Seq and single-cell RNA-Seq analysis
- Proficiency in programming language R and Python and experience with bioinformatics tools
- Experience in developing bioinformatics pipeline and maintaining computer server
- Track record of publications in bioinformatics analysis
- Good communication skills self-motivated ability to multi-task attention to detail organized and be able to work independently as well as in a team
- Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in bioinformatics and Computational Biology with strong interest in translational research
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on temporary full-time contract for 1 year to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
