The Director Renewals Sales will lead our Renewals Sales organization across Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) driving their team to deliver world-class customer experiences while securing on-time renewals and maximizing our gross and net retention rates. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding regional Renewals bookings targets building a high-performing sales culture and partnering cross-functionally to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
This role requires a strategic metrics-driven leader with a strong track record of scaling sales teams negotiating complex renewal agreements and building long-term customer relationships in enterprise technology markets.
HOW YOULL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
Sales Leadership & Execution
Lead coach and mentor a team of Renewals Managers/Account Managers across multiple countries in the APJ region.
Own the Renewals revenue target for the APJ region ensuring achievement of bookings gross retention and net retention goals.
Develop and execute regional renewals sales strategies aligned with global objectives including: Exceeding on-time renewal rate targets extending renewal contract durations and identifying potential opportunities for expansion within existing customers.
Customer Engagement & Negotiation
Act as an executive sponsor on strategic renewals and escalations.
Oversee negotiation of complex renewal agreements to secure favorable terms while protecting customer satisfaction.
Build strong relationships with customer executives procurement teams and partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Customer Success Professional Services Sales and Channel teams to ensure cohesive account coverage and proactive renewal engagement in your region.
Collaborate with Finance and Operations to forecast accurately manage pipeline health and improve renewal processes.
Operational Excellence & Reporting
Drive operational rigor through use of KPIs dashboards and pipeline reviews.
Analyze retention trends churn drivers and expansion opportunities; share insights to influence GTM strategy.
Ensure compliance with Cohesitys sales methodologies tools and reporting standards.
WED LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING
Minimum 10 years of work experience in B2B technology with at least 5 years in Renewals Account Management Customer Success or Sales leadership roles.
Proven track record of exceeding sales and growth targets in the APJ market.
Strong leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles procurement processes and contract negotiations.
Experience with SaaS subscription and perpetual licensing models including perpetual to subscription conversion programs.
