Health NZTairwhitiis recruiting for a Fixed-Term Full Time PGY2 House Officer commencing 13 October 2025. We are looking for a candidate who can fulfil Reliever duties in Paediatrics Emergency Orthopaedics Medical and Surgical.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Gisborne Hospital is a 110-bed acute care hospital which serves a wide geographical area extending up the East Cape of New Zealand creating enormous scope and variety in the work available to an enthusiastic registrar. Providing healthcare to a population of 54000 Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Tairwhiti is well supported locally by comprehensive surgical services and has a full range of diagnostic facilities on site including a new MRI scanner and CT scanner. We have strong ties with our tertiary referral centre in Waikato.

Situated on the East coast of New Zealands North Island Gisborne is the first city in the world to see the rising sun of the new day. The Tairwhiti region offers vast golden sand beaches bush clad mountains lush farmlands with significant historical landmarks natural wonders and a deep connection to Mori culture.
