Job Description

The Hilton Austin is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team!

At the center of Downtown this stunning 800 room hotel is attached to Austin Convention Center via covered walkway. Reach East Sixth Street nightlife two blocks away and explore the picturesque Rainey Street Historic District less than a mile from the door. The HR team support approximately 375 employees within the property.

The ideal candidate will have a warm outgoing personality advanced Microsoft Office skills excellent multi-skilling and organizational skills. Previous hotel operations and HR experience is preferred but not essential. What will I be doing

Greets assists and provides prompt and courteous service to guests applicants and team members. Provides the Human Resources Managers with administrative and clerical support including word- processing typing e-mailing filing data-entry faxing copying corresponding answering telephones processing mail taking notes and/or dictation making travel arrangements and performing other general office duties to include but not be limited to the following:

  • As a Coordinator provides assistance for a variety of activities and functions for the Hotel within the Human Resources team.
  • Listen and respond to inquiries made by individuals calling or walking into the HumanResource office using a clear speaking voice to meet their needs.
  • Assists incoming employees managers or candidates and provides accurate information.
  • Update the applicant tracking system and run any required reports as needed.
  • Provides administrative assistance such as filing paperwork copy and distributedisciplinary action notices breakdown sort and deliver PAFs making new hire andtermination files copy and send exempt reviews to employee files/managers anddepartment heads. Maintain department and personnel files. Creates and distributes memos flyers and newsletters as assigned.
  • Assists in planning and execution of various HR programs and initiatives. Coordinatesmeetings create materials and presentations research key topics and provide ongoingsupport and follow up in project timelines.
  • Coordinate department projects as needed.
  • Maintains employee and applicant bulletin boards.
