Job Description

We are hiring a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer / Technician with hands-on experience in the deployment of IT AV and security systems in hospitality environments. This role involves installation configuration and troubleshooting of structured cabling networking IPTV IP telephony CCTV and GRMS systems across multiple 4- and 5-star hotel projects under the Wyndham brand in Portugal.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Execute structured cabling works (copper and fiber): routing splicing termination labeling and testing.

Install and configure network switches firewalls routers and servers for hotel infrastructure.

Setup Wi-Fi systems for high-density hospitality environments including signal optimization and coverage heatmaps.

Install and configure IPTV systems middleware and SIP-based IP phone systems with SIP trunking.

Integrate PMS systems such as IDSNext using FIAS protocol for services like DND/MUR IPTV and IP PBX.

Install and troubleshoot CCTV systems (Hikvision Dahua Uniview Safire Mazi).

Setup and maintain GRMS (Guest Room Management Systems) including Zigbee-based wireless protocols.

Configure LED video walls and video wall controllers (Novastar) for conference rooms and lobbies.

Install and maintain access control systems for common areas and guest rooms.

Configure and support audio systems including amplifiers mixers speakers and PA/BGM systems.

Prepare network diagrams IP addressing plans and Wi-Fi heatmaps.

Provide desktop IT support for office environments with up to 60 workstations (preferred).

Troubleshoot and maintain server rooms UPS and all critical backend infrastructure.

Liaise with vendors partners and internal teams during project execution and commissioning.

Maintain technical documentation device configurations and project handover files.

Required Skills and Experience:

High School or Degree in IT Networking Electronics or related technical field.

3 years of experience in hospitality IT projects (preferably hotels).

Hands-on expertise with Ruijie TP-Link Omada or equivalent networking platforms.

Sound knowledge of IPTV IPPBX CCTV Wi-Fi and access control systems.

Experience in FIAS integration between PMS and third-party systems.

Understanding of SIP trunk configuration for VoIP systems.

Ability to read and create network drawings cabling layouts and heatmaps.

Familiarity with GRMS solutions especially wireless Zigbee protocols.

Experience working with LED video walls and Novastar controllers.

Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software.

Proficiency in English; Portuguese is an advantage.

Disponible to travel within the national territory and to work on-site.

Preferred Certifications (Highly Advantageous):

CCNA CompTIA Network or other recognized networking certifications.

Certified Security Surveillance and Access Control System Installer.

KNX Partner Certification.

ITIL Foundation or equivalent project-related certifications.

Vendor-specific training (e.g. Hikvision Ruijie TP-Link IDSNext etc.).
