Job Description
Job Title: Permanent Geriatric Medicine Physician
Join our dedicated Geriatrics Team in Grand Rapids Michigan. We are seeking a full-time physician to provide exceptional care in a robust environment that supports work-life balance and promotes professional growth. Our facility serves patients in eight local nursing facilities and is committed to advanced care coordination through the Trinity Health at Home Thrive Program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for a complex patient population.
- Opportunities to teach residents medical students and fellows.
- Enjoy autonomy and flexibility in your schedule.
- Participate in shared call duties among providers.
- Utilize adequate visit lengths to effectively manage patient needs.
- Open to recruitment of new graduates who have completed a Fellowship in Geriatrics.
- Welcoming experienced candidates in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Candidates must become Board Certified within two years if Board Eligible.
- Not accepting candidates with lapsed Board Certification or those seeking secondary employment.
- Please note we are not accepting Locums candidates or visa-related support requests.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with Geriatrics experience.
- Experience with the Geriatrics population is required.
- Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Preferred: Clean malpractice history.
- Note: Not accepting candidates requiring visa support (J1 or H1B).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan medical license.
- DEA certification.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
