Job Description
Job Opportunity: Neonatologist in Elmira NY
Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a Board Certified Neonatologist at a reputable medical facility in scenic Elmira New York. Nestled in the picturesque Finger Lakes Region this facility is known for its comprehensive womens health services including a Level III NICU. With block scheduling you can enjoy work-life balance while serving a community that relies on high-quality neonatal care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate efficiently with team members including participation in high-risk deliveries.
- Oversee a 20-bed Level-III NICU averaging 1500 deliveries/year with approximately 300 NICU admissions annually.
- Manage the assessment of critically-ill newborns and coordinate transport from surrounding hospitals.
- Utilize state-of-the-art services including conventional ventilation and HFOV with excellent nursing and pediatric sub-specialty support.
- Participate in block scheduling offering flexibility for commuting physicians.
- New graduates are welcomed (fellowship must be completed prior to start).
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 5 years of residency).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (within 5 years of fellowship).
- New York state medical license or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Ability to work within a collaborative environment focused on high-quality neonatal care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED
- New York state medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED
