Job Description
Join Our Team as a Neonatologist in Torrance CA!
Located in the scenic South Bay region of Los Angeles County this well-established community hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist to join their dedicated NICU team. With a state-of-the-art 32-bed Level III NICU and excellent pediatric subspecialty support this facility offers a supportive work/life balanced schedule and a collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical care in a 32-bed community Level III NICU with an average daily census of 12 newborns.
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialty teams including surgery cardiology gastroenterology (GI) and ENT to manage complex neonatal cases.
- Participate in the newborn service including direct patient care and family counseling.
- Support the hospitals role as a California Childrens Services (CCS) designated facility and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Work within a collegial team environment fostering a positive work/life balance.
- Engage with hospital staff and administration to maintain and improve neonatal care standards.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED).
- California Medical License or the ability to obtain (REQUIRED).
- Clean malpractice and medical license history (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
- Willingness to provide 24/7 in-house coverage (REQUIRED).
- Must currently live in the area or be willing to relocate (REQUIRED).
- DEA required (must be obtained prior to start).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- California Medical License (REQUIRED).
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start).
