Job Description
Join Our Neonatology Team in Topeka Kansas
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to become part of a dynamic 5-physician practice at a leading healthcare facility within the vibrant city of Topeka Kansas. Job Responsibilities:
- Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available
- Combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule. 1.0 FTE does approximately 170 hours per month of in-house coverage
- Provide in-house call and backup call from home
- Deliver a full range of services in a Level-III 36-bed NICU
- Utilize advanced technology including high-frequency ventilation inhaled nitric oxide total body cooling and aEEG
- Manage an average daily census of 26 and an annual total of approximately 500 admissions
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialty support in Cardiology Neurology General Surgery and Endocrinology
- Maintain The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies
- Open to new Fellow graduate candidates if already BC in Pediatrics
- Not accepting Locums candidates
- Open to J1 and H1B visa candidates
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
- Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship working toward BC) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED
- Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (must be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Visa support (J1 or H1B) - REQUIRED
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or Board Certified
- Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to start)
