Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Pulmonologist in Belfast Maine
Join a dedicated team at a renowned healthcare facility located in the scenic city of Belfast Maine! We are currently seeking a full-time locum pulmonologist to cover a long-term need due to physician retirement. Your primary responsibilities will take place at Waldo Hospital with opportunities to rotate at Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport. This role is perfect for professionals looking for an exciting and impactful practice experience in a beautiful coastal setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality pulmonology care in a clinical setting from Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 16 patients per day.
- Collaborate with one APP at Waldo and another physician at Pen Bay for comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the practice until a permanent replacement is found addressing the needs following retirement of the previous physician.
- No on-call duties required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Pulmonology - REQUIRED
- Active Maine Medical License or Active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) - REQUIRED
- Covid and Flu vaccinations - REQUIRED
- Availability for full-time and long-term commitment - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Maine License or IMLC License
- Board Certification in Pulmonology
- Current vaccinations against Covid-19 and Influenza
