Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Psychiatrist in Pontiac MI
Join a dedicated healthcare team in Pontiac Michigan providing essential psychiatric care in a supportive inpatient environment. This facility is looking for a Board Certified Psychiatrist to cover 24-hour inpatient call. Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center and contribute to the well-being of patients dealing with various mental health disorders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and hospital coverage for psychiatric patients.
- Manage a daily patient load of 20-25 individuals in a locked unit with on-site security.
- Utilize Cerner electronic health records for patient documentation.
- Engage in treatment for a variety of disorders including anxiety affective ADD/ADHD personality eating developmental psychotic and organic disorders.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call responsibilities with the expectation of patient contact hours during callback situations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified - Required
- BLS/ACLS: Required
- Active MI license: Not accepting IMLC; must begin 4/21.
- Local candidates only: No flights reimbursed.
- Availability details requested at name clearance.
- Must be COVID vaccinated.
- DEA - Verbal confirmation required at name clearance.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan medical license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
