Job Description
Job Title: Locum Physician - Psychiatry
Summary: We are actively seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team in Bismarck North Dakota. This is a locum position serving our inpatient adult psychiatry unit with the potential to round once a week in the adult partial hospitalization program depending on inpatient census. Our facility is committed to providing exceptional care in a positive and supportive culture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily rounds on the adult psychiatry unit.
- Attend daily multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- Communicate with patients families and natural supports.
- Provide psychiatric consultations on the inpatient units.
- Complete necessary documentation in compliance with facility standards.
- Contribute to the increase of adult census in the unit.
- Participate in on-call rotations including one or two evenings during the week and one weekend per month.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry REQUIRED (Board Eligible candidates will be considered)
- North Dakota state license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) REQUIRED
- Completion of residency in Adult Psychiatry REQUIRED
- Malpractice insurance to be provided by the physician or locum agency REQUIRED
- Availability at time of name clearance REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- BLS Certification
- DEA Registration
