Job Opportunity: Locum - Interventional Cardiology Physician in Suffolk VA
Join a dedicated team at a leading medical center in Suffolk Virginia providing essential interventional cardiology services. This position offers hospital coverage and STEMI coverage with a focus on both adult and geriatric patients. Deliver care in a vibrant community hospital with an emphasis on inpatient care. Experience a supportive environment equipped with an EPIC EMR system ensuring efficient patient management and documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hospital coverage and STEMI coverage on a locum basis.
- Manage inpatient care for a diverse patient population including adults and geriatric patients.
- Conduct patient rounds seeing 15-25 patients daily.
- Participate in the admission and discharge process managing 2-8 admissions on average per day.
- Oversee histories and physicals conducted by Advanced Practice Clinicians with appropriate supervision.
- Respond to STEMI events approximately 15 cases quarterly.
- Work 7 nights per week with weekends on call once a month.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for records and documentation with training provided.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology (REQUIRED)
- BLS ACLS and ATLS certified (REQUIRED)
- Active Virginia medical license (REQUIRED; no IMLC candidates)
- Clean file to be considered for the position

- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology

- ATLS Certification
- Valid Virginia Medical License
