Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Interventional Radiology
We are seeking a qualified Interventional Radiologist to join a hospital-based practice in Lansing Michigan starting on May 1 2025. The facility provides comprehensive support with excellent staffing including an IR technologist four IR nurses and a unit assistant. The average number of cases per day ranges from 10 to 15 in a Level III trauma center. You will work in a well-equipped environment including an angio suite procedure CT fluoro rooms and a dedicated ultrasound room.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee in-room supervision of fluoro exams.
- Assist with scribing plain films and fluoro with radiologist assistants.
- Perform interventional procedures including angioplasty stent placement and embolization.
- Manage dialysis fistula interventions and CVAD placements.
- Conduct genitourinary interventions and administer intrathecal chemotherapy.
- Execute needle biopsies thrombolysis drain placements Botox injections and ligament pain injections.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Radiology (BC) - Required Board Eligible (BE) not accepted.
- State license in Michigan - Highly Preferred.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications - Required.
- Clean background for quick credentialing - Required.
- Submission of rates at the time of name clear - Required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- American Board of Radiology certification.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Documentation of Hepatitis B MMR Varicella vaccination series or immune titers.
- Annual flu vaccine documentation for the 2024-2025 season.
- TB test completed within the last 12 months or Quantiferon within the last 6 months.
- TDAP adult vaccine within the last 10 years.
- Covid-19 documentation or declination if applicable.
