Job Description
Locum Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled physician to join our team in Vermont providing critical services in General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury examinations. This role is designed for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our nations veterans while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. The facility offers flexible scheduling and you will have the opportunity to conduct evaluations primarily based on interviews combined with some physical assessments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform evaluations including basic physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Document and submit findings through standardized forms within 48 hours of exam completion.
- Utilize a Goniometer and possess proficiency in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory cardiovascular and neurological conditions.
- Engage with veterans and their families ensuring a compassionate and understanding atmosphere during evaluations.
- Complete follow-up administrative work including addendums and medical opinions for reports.
- Participate in training to stay updated on Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and other relevant materials.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neurology Neurosurgery PM&R or a relevant specialty.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Vermont.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of various medical conditions.
- Own a personal laptop (Windows no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification as required.
- Experience with musculoskeletal diabetes and cardiovascular conditions preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Vermont.
- Willingness to obtain DMA certification as part of the onboarding process.
- Current curriculum vitae with home address included.
