Locum - Physician - Pathology
Join a reputable hospital in the heart of Athens Georgia as a locum Pathologist starting July 1 2025 for a minimum six-month assignment. This facility offers a collaborative and supportive environment where you will be part of a dynamic team of experienced professionals. The practice setting provides a variety of cases with an average of 10-15 cases read per day ensuring a stimulating work experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret surgical pathology specimens including GI GU neuropathology and hematopathology.
- Perform clinical pathology procedures such as hematology microbiology chemistry/serology and blood bank management.
- Take call for blood bank and organ procurement on a rotating basis every two weeks.
- Supervise and review specimens prepared by histotechnologists to meet pathologist review criteria.
- Gross and cut frozen sections as required adhering to established protocols.
- Utilize the Epic Beaker documentation system for patient records.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Pathology.
- Active Georgia Medical License.
- BLS certification.
- Conversion rate cap of 25k.
