Job Description
Job Title: Locum Physician - OB/GYN
Join a dedicated team in a vibrant hospital setting located in Grass Valley California. This facility features a Family Birthing Center with a dedicated L&D floor and its own OR for C-sections. The practice averages 23-30 deliveries per month and is supported by a skilled team of professionals including anesthesiologists and experienced respiratory therapists. Were looking for a locum physician to cover maternity leave and provide exceptional care to our patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform deliveries and manage C-sections.
- Handle ED call coverage for OB/GYN related issues.
- Conduct gynecological surgical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Utilize EMR (Cerner) for patient documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current certification or active participation in the certification process in OB/GYN.
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Demonstrated performance of at least 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past two years.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified OB/GYN or Board Eligible within 5 years (Required).
- Active California Medical License (Required).
- DEA (Required).
- Clean malpractice record preferred.
- Availability at the time of name clear (Required).
