Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Bad Axe MI
Join a dedicated team at a well-equipped facility in Bad Axe Michigan. This locum position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care. The clinic operates from 8 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Thursday with 24/7 call coverage. Ideal candidates will be available for multiple weeks starting in September providing a solid support to the local healthcare community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide obstetric and gynecological care including scheduled C-sections and sterilizations.
- Manage an average of 20 patients in the clinic and approximately 25 deliveries per month.
- Work collaboratively with 1 NP or Midwife in the office.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation.
- Oversee clinic operations supported by a clinic supervisor patient access staff and medical assistant.
- Ensure proficiency in all OB/GYN procedures and skills required for patient care.
- Be available for call coverage every other week from Friday 7 AM to the following Friday 7 AM.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (No Board Eligible candidates).
- Must hold a valid Michigan License and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Local providers preferred; clean background necessary for quick credentialing.
- DEA registration required with verbal confirmation at name clear.
- Submit availability and rates at the time of clearance.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
- Must possess an active Michigan medical license.
- Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Current BLS certification from AHA.
- ACLS PALS and DEA certifications are preferred.
