Position summary:
The Central Nova Scotia Tourism Development Society (CNSTDS) is looking for a dynamic strategic and community-minded leader to serve as its first Executive Director. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of tourism in Central Nova Scotia leading the implementation of the regions tourism development strategy and building a strong collaborative network of partners across municipalities businesses and communities.
Reporting directly to the CNSTDS Board of Directors the Executive Director will guide the organizations growth manage marketing levy investments and work closely with tourism operators and stakeholders to enhance the regions profile as a premier the short term the Executive Director will focus on implementing the Strategic Tourism Expansion Program (STEP) recommendations and over the long term they will help develop a comprehensive strategic plan to drive sustainable tourism growth.
While the Municipality of Colchester is assisting with the intake of applications through its job posting portal this position is with the Central Nova Scotia Tourism Development Society and is not a municipal position.

Position details:
- Location: Central Nova Scotia (flexible within Colchester County; remote work from home with regular in-person meetings and site visits required)
- Salary Range: $85000 $100000 annually based on experience
