Description

The Talent Acquisition Officer is responsible for identifying top talent across various roles ensuring a seamless recruitment experience and helping the company build strong long-term hiring strategies.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • 3-5 years experience in recruitment
  • Experience in a Human Resources Administrative environment is an added advantage
  • Experience with electronic recruitment platforms is essential
  • SAP HCM experience is an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Partner with hiring managers and HRBPs to understand role requirements team culture and business goals.
  • Create effective sourcing strategies using various job boards social media databases and referrals.
  • Advertise vacancies on the electronic recruitment system once approved.
  • Compile longlists and identify shortlist candidates with HRBP and the Line Manager.
  • Arrange and conduct interviews and manage the offer letter process.

On-boarding:

  • Distribute and manage the onboarding tool.
  • Conduct monthly courtesy surveys with new employees and follow up quarterly.
  • Ensure new employees are inducted with the assistance of HRO.

Reporting & Analysing:

  • Compile and maintain accurate recruitment reports.
  • Track metrics and provide recruitment reports.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping for EE compliance.

Client Relationships:

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Represent the organisation at job fairs and recruiting events.
  • Develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture relationships with potential hires.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of HR and recruitment disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Working knowledge of electronic recruitment systems and tools
  • Working knowledge of the Employment Equity Act
  • Ability to analyse data

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

  • Assertive and able to conduct difficult conversations
  • Ability to plan organise prioritise and manage multiple open positions simultaneously
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal skills
