Were inviting expressions of interest from within the Faculty of Design and Creative Technology (DCT) for a secondment opportunity as Program Director Creative Technology. This role provides academic leadership across a portfolio of programs ensuring academic integrity teaching quality and strong student engagement while aligning with the strategic goals of Torrens Global Education.
You will lead curriculum innovation oversee the subject catalogue and monitor faculty performanceusing data and insights on class sizes workloads timetable efficiency and student retention to inform decision-making. The role also supports workforce planning staff development and operational efficiency while engaging with industry and university stakeholders to enhance student outcomes.
A key focus will be on fostering a collaborative inclusive culture and leading strategic initiatives that contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the Creative Technology discipline.
In this role you will:
Lead Academic Operations: Oversee program delivery quality assurance and performance indicators (e.g. retention progression timetabling class sizes and workload) using a data-informed approach.
Drive Curriculum and Process Improvement: Maintain curriculum quality oversee the subject catalogue and partner with senior academics and academic services teams to ensure effective compliant processes.
Engage Across the University: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment with TEQSA ASQA CRICOS and ESOS requirements.
Foster a Positive and Inclusive Culture: Promote staff development equity and inclusion supporting positive change initiatives across the faculty.
Lead and Develop Teams: Guide workforce planning mentor academic staff and model constructive leadership practices.
Who you are:
PhD in a relevant discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
Proven leadership in tertiary education with experience in program or curriculum management.
Demonstrated innovation in teaching learning and student engagement.
Established academic or practice-led research profile with experience in industry engagement.
Strong understanding of academic governance policy and regulatory compliance requirements (TEQSA ASQA CRICOS ESOS).
Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
