RN- Neuro PCU (Permanent Role)

Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

• Deliver direct patient care to individuals with complex neurological conditions requiring intermediate-level care.
• Monitor patient status and recognize changes in condition quickly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians specialists and other nurses in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about ongoing health needs treatment options and post-discharge care.
• Document nursing assessments interventions and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Respond competently to emergencies and operate efficiently under pressure.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following hospital policies and infection control procedures.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Preferred Experience:
  • 12 18 months of RN experience in an Acute Care or Hospital setting.
  • Prior experience in Neuro Step-Down or Progressive Care Units a plus.
• Strong critical thinking communication and teamwork skills.
