Job Description
Location: Brenham TX 77833
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Clinical Judgment:
- Promote a healthy evidence-based work environment.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
- Identify patient/family needs and resources.
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure safe efficient care.
Caring Practices
- Foster a compassionate safe environment for all.
- Lead care conferences and interdisciplinary rounds.
Clinical Inquiry
- Evaluate nursing practice using quality indicators.
- Lead improvement initiatives using current evidence.
- Support and engage in clinical research.
- Ensure staff competencies align with patient needs.
- Deliver direct patient care as needed.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing care standards procedures and laws/regulations.
- Familiarity with certification/accreditation standards and hospital protocols.
- Understanding of health promotion disease prevention and management.
- Proficient in medication safety dosages effects and adverse reactions.
- Knowledge of nursing ethics patient rights and HIPAA guidelines.
- Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (minimum requirement)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- License/Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) Active Texas License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 30 days of hire if not already certified
