Ultrasound Technologist (Permanent Role) Location: College Station TX 77845
Shift: 8-hr Days 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Essential Functions: - Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with established exam protocols.
- Ensure high-quality imaging and timely performance of exams.
- Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You).
- Confirm patient identity and correct exam orders.
- Educate and inform patients and their families about procedures.
- Assess patient condition and ability to tolerate exams.
- Prepare and position patients properly for imaging procedures.
- Maintain infection control and safety procedures including sterile techniques.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure equipment functionality.
- Report equipment or process issues to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records in PACS/EMR.
- Comply with organizational policies protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications: Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Certification/Licensure (must hold at least one of the following):
- ARDMS:
- OB/GYN (RDMS-OB)
- Abdomen (RDMS-AB)
- Breast (RDMS-BR)
- Musculoskeletal (MSK)
- Vascular (RVT)
- ARRT:
- Sonography (ARRT-S)
- Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS)
- CCI:
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
