Job Title

HR Manager

Description

We are looking for a hands-on HR Manager to set up and streamline all HR processes at our manufacturing plant. The role goes beyond routine time-office and payroll tasks — the person must take ownership of HR policies statutory compliance documentation systems employee records internal audits and plant-level engagement. The plant currently lacks structured HR systems so this is a build-and-lead role with full responsibility for setting up a compliant organized and responsive HR function.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement plant-level HR policies SOPs and employee handbooks
  • Set up proper documentation practices for recruitment onboarding confirmation and exits
  • Ensure 100% statutory compliance under Factories Act PF ESIC etc.
  • Maintain all statutory registers license renewals displays and returns
  • Independently manage attendance leave and shift rosters via biometric system
  • Prepare and share monthly payroll inputs; coordinate salary processing with Accounts
  • Handle full-cycle recruitment and manage local staffing agency relationships
  • Conduct internal HR audits and maintain audit readiness at all times
  • Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters with due process
  • Organize basic engagement activities and facilitate communication on the shopfloor
  • Generate HR MIS reports for the Plant Head and Corporate HR

Qualifications

  • Graduate / MBA in HR Industrial Relations or related discipline
  • 4-6 years of HR experience in manufacturing plants (preferably mid-sized)
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance documentation and audit practices
  • Self-driven process-oriented and dependable
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll input management
  • Understanding of salary structures statutory deductions and related compliances
