HR Manager
Description
We are looking for a hands-on HR Manager to set up and streamline all HR processes at our manufacturing plant. The role goes beyond routine time-office and payroll tasks — the person must take ownership of HR policies statutory compliance documentation systems employee records internal audits and plant-level engagement. The plant currently lacks structured HR systems so this is a build-and-lead role with full responsibility for setting up a compliant organized and responsive HR function.
Responsibilities
- Draft and implement plant-level HR policies SOPs and employee handbooks
- Set up proper documentation practices for recruitment onboarding confirmation and exits
- Ensure 100% statutory compliance under Factories Act PF ESIC etc.
- Maintain all statutory registers license renewals displays and returns
- Independently manage attendance leave and shift rosters via biometric system
- Prepare and share monthly payroll inputs; coordinate salary processing with Accounts
- Handle full-cycle recruitment and manage local staffing agency relationships
- Conduct internal HR audits and maintain audit readiness at all times
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters with due process
- Organize basic engagement activities and facilitate communication on the shopfloor
- Generate HR MIS reports for the Plant Head and Corporate HR
Qualifications
- Graduate / MBA in HR Industrial Relations or related discipline
- 4-6 years of HR experience in manufacturing plants (preferably mid-sized)
- Strong working knowledge of HR compliance documentation and audit practices
- Self-driven process-oriented and dependable
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll input management
- Understanding of salary structures statutory deductions and related compliances
