The Telecommunications - Audio/Visual Systems Manager is responsible and accountable for the 100% uptime and resilience of the Shepherd Center telephony systems including VoIP desk and captive wireless phones paging systems fax systems and all audiovisual systems including projectors fixed and portable audio systems advanced meeting room systems and enterprise-wide surveillance camera systems.
This position is responsible for the design implementation testing validation maintenance and ongoing management of telecom analysts infrastructure station cabling and audio-visual resources to provide these critical resources to the enterprise. This role implements maintains appropriate technologies and processes to ensure telecommunications network integrity disaster recovery fault tolerance high availability and security of the telecommunications and facsimile infrastructure systems including the audio visual and camera systems throughout the center and provides Tier 3 Service Desk escalation support project resourcing operational support third party management of vendors and contract resources and advanced troubleshooting.
- Propose and plan the design build validation and maintenance including detailed system configurations and procedural and visual documentation.
- Manage the upgrade of programs/applications as required by the manufacturer third parties and Shepherd Information Security as deemed necessary for all systems related to telephony cameras access control and A/V systems.
- Manage the personnel who provide daily MAC (Moves Adds and Changes) of user configurations including test software as requested add/delete/change phone and fax profiles and group profiles as required. This includes time-sensitive A/V requests across the enterprise.
- Manages the upgrades and enforces established security standards. This includes all telephony and fax system upgrades camera systems access control and new or existing A/V systems including new patient engagement systems as they are implemented.
- Manage the approval of change requests to the systems adhering to the established guidelines for system change control.
- Manage the overall maintenance and repair of equipment; manage third-party support contracts and repair of equipment.
- Demonstrate superior systems and application expertise during the design and on-going system optimization. Including the new build areas to ensure that Information Systems is represented and adequate infrastructure and facilities are planned and implemented to allow for the successful transition from construction to production operations.
- Manage a wide variety of partners vendors suppliers and contractors to ensure high system uptime.
- Ensure system documentation and knowledge base articles are being generated and maintained to current standards and reflect real-world status of the systems at Shepherd Center.
- Manage telecom and facsimile system performance and report any potential issues.
- Stay updated on trends in telephony camera/surveillance access control and audiovisual technology by actively seeking new options and information about systems software and hardware functionality.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds sit for extended periods of time and be able to type and operate a computer terminal.
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Center and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements organizational standards and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within the area of responsibility and supports the problem resolution process.

Required Minimum Education
Four-year college degree or a commensurate number of years in the healthcare space in Information Technology.
Expert level knowledge of facsimile voicemail call center technologies camera technologies and audio-visual systems.
Exceptional organizational and documentation skills required.
Excellent interpersonal skills a must.
