Job Position: Assistant Project Manager
Job Location:Arvada CO
Range of Pay: $70000-$100000 depending on experience

Job Description:This position requires you to assist the Senior Project Managers and/or Superintendents in the coordination of activities on each project you are assigned. You may also be managing small to mid-size projects with the oversight of the Senior Project Manager and/or Operations Manager. You will assist in the reporting costs schedule documentation and quality control as well as reporting on your own project statuses. You will also be required to work in AutoCad or Revitmodifying construction documents to work with our Layout proficiency is required.
The essential functions and responsibilities are as follows but are not limited to:
You will be interacting with the General Contractor attending project meetings (w/wo the Senior Project Manager present) and will be required to be able to speak to ICIs scope and act professionally.
Ability to review contracts plans and specifications project schedules as well as have a full understanding of project scope etc.
Assist/perform kick-off and/or job start meetings.
Assist the Senior Project Manager with take-off (OST/Buzzbid) in preparation for a working budget associated with the project. This will be based on value engineering actual construction methods actual quantities and estimated production rates specific to said project. Perform take-off (OST/Buzzbid) for the small to mid-size projects that you may be managing while assisting the Senior Project Manager on other projects.
Assist the Senior Project Manager and/or perform the generation of man-loaded schedules submittals RFIs document control etc. and verify responses are received and processed completely.
Assist the Senior Project Manager with the needs of managing several projects as well as self-manage on your own projects.
Attending project meetings as directed by the Senior Project Manager for each project that you are associated with (self-managed projects as well) document and communicate issues of the project with the project team.
Assist the Senior Project Manager and/or facilitate weekly project commitment meeting where you will communicate project status and issues with the project team to verify the project is on track.
Communicate tasks and follow-up with Senior Project Manager until said tasks are completed.
Job site walks with Openspace will be required if and only if the project allows for photos to be taken. Otherwise proper documentation will be discussed by you and the Senior Project Manager at which time you will be required to assist with.
Assist the Senior Project Manager with documentation of said project relaying potential issues delays schedule discrepancies etc.
Maintain morale of field labor force and project team throughout the durations of each project.
Assist the Senior Project Manager and/or prep and price EWAs (tickets) and scope changes via RFIs ASIs Addendums etc. Submit change orders requests to the Senior Project Manager for review and submission to the General Contractor.
Ability to self-manage workload and stay on tasks while providing updates to your assigned Senior Project Manager.
Ability to foresee upcoming issues and help derive a plan to mitigate ICI costs and/or add value to the project with solutions that can either be change ordered in as a profitable revenue source for ICI or help the project get to completion with no or less risk to ICI.
Ability to analyze job costs and necessary billings to create a positive cash flow with the help of the Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager.
Meet with customers and clients to ensure Business Development is continued throughout the project and maintaining ICI as a preferred subcontractor.
The Assistant Project Manager will also be required to be self-sufficient and can manage situations/projects while under pressure.
Staying on task being efficient organized etc. is a must as an Assistant Project Manager.
Other Duties:
Attending bi-weekly (or as scheduled) Operations Meetings.
Attend seminars/educational training programs as required by upper management.
Perform any other related or unrelated unassigned unspecified duties that may be needed from time to time.
Duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
On self-managed projects you will be responsible in communicating with the Operations Manager on project issues delays tasks etc. These are projects outside of projects you will be working on with Senior Project Managers.
Requirements:
High school graduate required college degree in Construction Engineering or Business is preferred.
3-6 years of management experience in the construction industry.
Proficiency in Revit or AutoCad is required.
Ability to efficiently utilize and be proficient with technology/programs.
Able to communicate effectively with customers. Vast knowledge of construction materials as well as means and methods.
Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as be self-sufficient.
Travel to jobsites will be required.
