Job Purpose:

The Facility Manager will plan and oversee daily operations of the company to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. They will optimize processes ensuring efficient operations while fostering a collaborative team environment. This position will also serve as the critical link of communication and coordination between the customer and internal parties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manager and provide oversite of daily operations.
  • Ensure work is performed safely on schedule within customer specifications and cost effectively.
  • Oversee employee performance program and hold accountability for the development of employees.
  • Make operational procedure adjustments to ensure daily KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Report on KPIs outlined by the company.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for unresolved customer issues.
  • Commit to understanding and meeting customer needs ensuring that our logistical operations aligned with our mission to deliver exceptional service.
  • Focus on continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational improvements as well as contributing overall to ongoing efforts to improve all experiences with MainOcean LLC.
  • Maintain various records according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other leadership to ensure a unified approach.
  • Foster a forward-thinking approach and passion for implementing creative solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in management logistics or other relevant field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant strong experience in warehousing logistics supply chain management and/or operations in a 3PL environment.
  • 5 to 7 years of management and leadership experience with a successful track record of safety operational efficiencies and employee development.
  • Possess analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions that positively impact the business.
  • Natural leader who inspires teams fosters collaboration and effectively communicates across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of safety quality and efficiencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office RF scanning and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and technology that facilitate tracking reporting and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Able to maintain calm and focus while managing multiple activities simultaneously shifting priorities as needed.
  • Flexible Team player.

Working Conditions:

  • None: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The worker is subject to noise occasionally: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for Light Work.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Sitting: Be in a seated position for an extended period of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding ramps poles and the like using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
  • Fingering: Picking pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately loudly or quickly
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Seeing: Clarity of vision at near and far distances depth perception and able to work in low light environments.

Direct Reports:

  • 10 to 20 direct reports.
