Suncorp Graduate Program 2026 - Underwriting

Build your career at the heart of Suncorps commercial insurance business. As an Underwriting Graduate youll gain hands-on experience in a relationship-driven role that blends analytical thinking with a customer focus.

  • Minimum Starting Salary: $79500 including super
  • Locations: Sydney Melbourne Perth

About the Program

Over two years youll complete six-monthly rotations within our Commercial & Personal Injury Insurance team gaining hands-on experience across the full underwriting lifecycle. Rotations are structured to support you to:

  • Master underwriting: assess price and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance products.
  • Build trusted relationships: work with brokers and clients to negotiate and deliver tailored solutions.
  • See the bigger picture: gain exposure to claims legal and other teams to understand the entire insurance value chain.
  • Grow your commercial acumen: manage real-world portfolios analyse risks and contribute to strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate across Suncorp: connect with experts to create smarter customer-focused risk solutions.

Who can apply

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Studying or have studied at an Australian or New Zealand university
  • Completed a minimum of bachelors degree within the last two years (or 2025) or will complete prior to the program commencing
  • Minimum pass grade

Preferred Degrees:Business Commerce Finance Economics Engineering (or related disciplines)
