Fahrenheit Advisors has been retained to lead the search for a Chief of Administration on behalf of our client Virginia Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Program located in Richmond VA.
Reporting to the Executive Director the Chief of Administration serves as the lead for all claimant experience at the Virginia Birth Injury Fund. This position oversees the Claims Manager Claims Processing Manager and Case Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality timely and compassionate support to claimants. The Chief of Administration plays a key role in improving internal workflows coordinating cross-functional projects and implementing systems that enhance the claimant journey from intake through long-term engagement. This position is Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise the Claims Manager Claims Processing Manager and Case Manager.
- Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement across the Claims team.
- Act as the primary liaison and advocate for the claimant experience within the organization.
Claimant Experience Oversight
- Oversee all aspects of claimant service delivery to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.
- Monitor claimant satisfaction and implement feedback loops to improve services and responsiveness.
Project & Operations Management
- Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving internal operations and service delivery.
- Ensure coordination between departments to maintain consistency and clarity in claimant communications and case handling.
- Develop implement and optimize workflows processes and systems that support efficient claims administration.
Client Management System Implementation
- Lead or support the selection and implementation of a new client management system.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth adoption configuration training and use of the system.
- Oversee data migration system testing and documentation of best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in administration claims management or program operations preferably in a healthcare or public benefit setting.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and improving service delivery workflows.
- Strong project management skills with experience implementing new systems or technologies.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of client management systems and experience with systems implementation is strongly preferred.
