Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Waiter to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. As the Head Waiter you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and inspiring our wait staff.
- Lead by example prioritizing memorable guest experiences and motivating team members
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the dining area
- Act as a liaison between the dining room and kitchen handling requests and inquiries from guests and staff
- Manage reservations seating arrangements and special events
- Train and mentor new wait staff ensuring adherence to service standards
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items specials and wine pairings
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management and cost control measures
- Contribute to the development of new service procedures and standards
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy restaurant or upscale dining establishment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and guest needs
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including POS systems and reservation management software
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Team player with a supportive and collaborative approach
- Familiarity with local cuisine and customs in Riyadh Saudi Arabia (preferred)
- Food safety certification (preferred)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
