An opportunity has arisen in Airbus Customer Services to join Technical Data Support & Services - India which is in charge of developing delivering and supporting on aircraft maintenance documentation to enable the safe and efficient operations and maintenance by our customers (airlines MRO lessors).
Technical Data is organized in 5 cross-natco Domains and 5 local lines and the position is opened in India local line - IISBD. The position is functionally aligned with SIDB Domain which offers a wide view on Maintenance Documentation: From the Design Office who is at the origin of the design and evolution of aircraft design to the Authoring Domains in charge of documenting their impact in Technical Data products (manuals) and to the support to our customers who are operating and maintaining aircraft Systems. Delivering the complete documentation at aircraft entry into service and maintaining it during the complete aircraft life cycle is our main mission and is part of the airworthiness requirements.

This role is a leadership opportunity operationally reporting to Head of Tech Data Support & Services India and functionally to Head of Programmes Governance & Strategy towards building and leading a 11-15 member team with diverse backgrounds working in full synchronization with diverse European teams. The mission of the newly created group will be a good mixture of operational activities supporting the authoring of the TechData (suppliers management application management) and the preparation of the future (process automation development of solution & technologies to bring significant efficiency) in the frame of Customer Services Ambition 2030 (Efficient TechData cornerstone). In this context above the classical leadership role the capacity of the jobholder to manage the diversity of topics to handle and to inject the innovation spirit within the team will be key.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Managing the technical operations
Assign monitor and support execution of operational deliverables from the team
members across various sub-domains - authoring process support; automation&
transformation ; supplier management & support.
Build & lead the team of IISBDB in India
Provide the means and support accomplishment of the internal/external activities
according to the objectives defined within the department (Quality Cost and
associated lead-time).
Launch corrective and preventive actions that can allow objectives achievement
Identify and escalate long term risks/needs manage group level risks and escalations
Ensure deliverables follow up and reporting (internal and subcontractors review)
Leading the team
Perform people leader responsibilities for the team including activities like appraisal continuous feedback performance management competence assessment learning & Development individual hike & promotions.
Promote & Implement collaborative culture among teams
Organize and share the workload within the team and define priorities
Enable team members with adequate means to deliver their responsibilitiescascade explain and support team members objectives definition
Build and maintain healthy working relationship with all stakeholders
Lead & inspire the team with leadership skills and attributes per Airbus Leadership Model and Values thereby building a positive engaged and motivating work environment for the team.
Support & contribute to the IISBD leadership team in overall team engagement & development activities.
Safety
Be a role model and promote a culture of speak-up and Safety first mindset in the team.
Report any (potential) safety issue or (potential) safety event that is detected in the frame of the day to day activities.
Contribute on request of safety representatives in any safety enhancement initiative as part of Safety management activity (PSP SMS) eg in the analysis and follow up of reported events identification and analysis of hazards and risk assessment in respective domain of activities.
Deploy the Quality and Lean approach
Participate in the updates of the quality assurance system
Identify KPIs Track and Monitor Report at department level on a monthly basis.
Participate in root cause analysis for KPI deviations and launch PPS actions as and when needed.
Suggest improvements of the processes and implement leaner methodologies
Interface with Design Office Digital teams Suppliers to drumbeat and support the team
Drive improvements / automations and simplifications wherever applicable to build efficiency in the way we work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineering and / or Masters (Engineering) Degree with experience working in Aerospace industry preferably with exposure to Digital Tools Applications / Innovation Technology & Product development / Program management. Awareness / experience or exposure to Technical Data / Technical Publications will be an added advantage. Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 2 years of leadership experience.

IT & Digital savvy and ability to learn and adapt with evolving technologies.

Exposure to working with customers and suppliers will be an added advantage.
