Prudential is seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President Head of Corporate Functions Communications to lead communications for its Corporate Functions including the People Team Global Technology & Operations Finance Corporate Affairs and Legal Compliance Business Ethics and External Affairs. This role will be instrumental in shaping and driving a cohesive enterprise approach to communications reinforced by senior leaders on key internal and external channels. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders and a champion of compelling and innovative communications.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. Consideration will be given to exceptional candidates who are fully remote.

What you can expect:

  • Strategic Communications Leadership

    • Develop and implement high-level communications strategies that align with Prudentials enterprise narrative and strategic goals supporting business priorities cultural transformation and employee engagement across corporate functions.

    • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders providing insights and guidance on effective communication practices that help drive business outcomes.

    • Champion innovation and transformation by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and forward-thinking communication strategies.

  • Executive & Leadership Communications

    • Partner with senior leaders to craft clear authentic and inspiring communications that connect employees and other stakeholders to the companys strategy.

    • Oversee the preparation of executive talking points presentations and messaging for town halls leadership forums enterprise-wide initiatives and external opportunities.

  • Enterprise-Wide Engagement & Change Management

    • Help lead the organization through critical enterprise changes including around culture technology and AI and financial management.

    • Develop and implement change management communications plans to achieve desired outcomes and serve as an advisor to communication colleagues on best practices.

    • Collaborate with the People team and other stakeholders to support employee experience and engagement strategies.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration

    • Lead and mentor a team of senior communications professionals fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    • Partner closely with colleagues across Communications Corporate Affairs Brand and corporate functions to ensure strategic alignment and help to advance enterprise priorities beyond ones own direct remit.

    • Help lead the Prudential Communications function as a member of the VP community sharing ideas and best practices to help drive the function forward

  • Content Development & Channel Strategy

    • Oversee a team that leads on creating high-impact content for internal and external channels ensuring consistent voice tone and messaging across all platforms.

    • Effectively manage proactive and reactive media opportunities that align with enterprise framework and company strategy.

  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement

    • Establish metrics to assess communication effectiveness and employee engagement using insights to continuously refine strategies and improve outcomes.

What youll need:

  • 15 years of professional business experience with at least 10 years in communications preferably within a global or multinational corporation.

  • Strategic thinker with a strong executive presence adept at advising senior leaders.

  • Experienced team leader with a track record of success in a matrixed environment.

  • Collaborative agile and resilient in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate in ambiguity.

  • Excellent judgment in prioritization and the ability to execute upon strategic plans focusing on the highest value work that drives business outcomes

  • Proven success leading the conception advancement and execution of communications strategies that yield business outcomes and influence changes in outlook and behaviors.

  • Demonstrated willingness to challenge the status quo and tackle difficult issues in a constructive and outcomes-oriented manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high EQ; the ability to partner with colleagues and be solutions-oriented.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $213000.00 to $288200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
