EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Production Assembly Engineerto join a precision engineering company located inTamworth working on apermanentbasis.

Our client manufactures small to medium-sized complex precision components for high-profile customers within a wide range of market-leading companies. Due to substantial growth we require a Production Assembly Engineer to join their existing talent team.
What does the role involve as a Production Assembly Engineer
- Provide hands-on support to Production Engineers and manufacturing teams to resolve daily assembly issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Drive the achievement of key performance targets (Quality Cost Delivery) by investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
- Design implement and continuously improve assembly processes tooling and fixtures with a strong focus on cost reduction and best practices.
- Develop and maintain essential process documentation (e.g. Work Instructions PFMEAs Control Plans) while upholding quality standards like ISO 9001 and 5S.
- Collaborate with design engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DFMA) and train production staff on new processes and equipment.
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate
- Apprentice trained or qualified to degree BTEC or NVQ level
- Strong Manufacturing or ProductionEngineering background
- Worked within an Assembly environment with either automated or semi-automated production lines within precision engineering companies
- Applicants will have come from a background within manufacturing sectors including; Automotive Motorsport Aerospace White Goods Agriculture etc.
- Experience of working with 3D CAD packages; Solidworks AutoCAD etc
- Knowledge and experience of using assembly presses pneumatics hydraulics CNC machinestorque equipment bolting stations etc
- Ability to read and interpret electrical hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- A strong focus on error-proofing (poka-yoke) in assembly processes
