About the role:

This Service Specialist - Core Data Platforms plays a key role in keeping Suncorps cloud systems running smoothly and securely. They make sure our service providers deliver whats needed help fix major issues quickly and guide teams to work better and smarter.

You will provide oversight and governance of the Managed Service Providers performance both operationally and strategically to support the platforms ensuring the environments are operational and compliant and within Suncorps risk appetite to deliver on customer needs and expectations.

What youll do:

  • Monitor and govern the operational and strategic performance of the Managed Service Provider managing service levels and supplier governance
  • Continuously improve the Service Catalogue and MSP processes to enhance the customer experience while ensuring compliance with rapid change and production transition frameworks.
  • Ensure the availability and health of all Infrastructure Services including cloud platforms and services and adhere to Suncorps SIAM framework for Change Release and Deployment quality.
  • Contribute to platform architectures and roadmaps aligning with team business and group priorities
  • Lead and support Change Release Deployment Problem Incident management cost optimization risk management and continuous improvement utilizing technical knowledge to influence priorities and enhancements.
  • Act as a point of contact for process-related questions disputes or issues clarifying expectations taking accountability and maintaining high standards
  • Ensure availability for on-call support as needed responding promptly to urgent issues.

What youll bring:

  • Preferably Insurance or Financial Services Industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with AWS/Azure and cloud services (SaaS PaaS IaaS).
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies: EC2 RDS Redshift Lambda.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows systems and automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform).
  • Proficient in operating systems and platform solution delivery.
  • Experience with distributed teams (onshore/offshore) including experience governing IT Service providers
  • Exposure to DataBricks and Machine Learning lifecycle management.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships
  • A genuine passion for technology and service delivery
