Pay Rate: $70000 $75000
Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Summary
The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of products manufactured in compliance with regulatory standards industry best practices and company policies. This role involves overseeing quality management systems participating in audits conducting investigations into quality issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes. The Quality Specialist plays a key role in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and fostering a company-wide culture of quality awareness.
Essential Job Functions
- Review and ensure compliance with internal quality policies and procedures.
- Assist with reviewing and revising manufacturing processes and procedures with the assistance of production teams.
- Enforce quality management systems including ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
- Assist in the development implementation and continuous improvements of QMS to meet regulatory and quality requirements.
- Perform audits of production processes to verify compliance with quality procedures and identify potential risks for non-conformances.
- Ensure that all quality control and assurance activities are documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve any quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for deviation from quality standards.
- Provide quality-related training to employees to ensure understanding and adherence to quality assurance standards and processes.
- Work closely with production teams to foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Specialist lead or management team.
Educational and Skills Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent desired.
- Minimum two-year work experience in engineering analytical or related technical activities. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team environment with peers and across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to interact with all levels of the organization.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs as needed.
