What youll do
Conduct thorough diagnostics and execute preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers ensuring optimal performance of gas and diesel engines hydraulic and air brake systems drivetrain components suspension chassis and electrical systems.
Methodically disassemble components meticulously inspecting for defects and excessive wear and proficiently recondition or replace parts to restore functionality.
Provide accurate estimates for repairs efficiently manage parts procurement and inventory ensuring timely availability and cost-effectiveness.
Validate all mechanical repairs to meet stringent regulatory requirements and uphold rigorous safety standards while consistently maintaining fleet integrity to exceed customer expectations. Additionally actively contribute to Operational Excellence through proactive participation in lean initiatives and effective problem-solving strategies.
What youll need...
Minimum age of 18 with a valid Non-Commercial Driver License
High school diploma plus 2 years of related experience OR Associates degree in Vehicle Maintenance Automotive Technology Diesel Technology or related field
Favorable driving record required at hiring and maintained during employment
Must meet criteria for Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certification
