Summary:
-
Assemble and fit detail parts and structures; perform drilling riveting and other assembly operations.
-
Rivet structural assemblies including sheet metal parts using hand tools pneumatic tools and precision equipment.
-
Read and interpret work orders blueprints lofts sketches and operation sheets to determine assembly sequence and rivet specifications.
-
Align and assemble parts using jigs fixtures pins clamps and fasteners.
-
Check all work to ensure defect-free assemblies before final inspection.
-
Maintain logs records and resource planning systems (MIR sheets DMTs Crabs PCOs).
-
Support Lean activities and continuous improvement initiatives (YIAW Kaizen events).
-
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area; comply with 5S and all safety regulations.
-
Perform additional duties and support other teams as assigned.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
1 year of structural assembly experience; one-year credit for graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program.

Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
-
Basic knowledge of aircraft structures sheet metal and fabrication processes.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and 6 scale drawings.
-
Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic shop math.
-
Aptitude for hands-on craftwork attention to detail and professional attitude.
-
Ability to work effectively in a team and meet demanding schedules.
-
Knowledge of composite resins and materials.
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in confined or restricted spaces.
-
Must be able to work any shift.
-
Must read write speak and understand English.
-
Demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping safety practices and quality compliance.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
