The incumbent is required to demonstrate analytical skills and a good knowledge of database systems in order to support the organization in its decision-making. The person will be responsible for the design development and maintenance of data models as well as Power BI reports to support the companys strategic decisions.
- Work closely with teams across departments to ensure the creation of Power BI reports and dashboards based on performance indicators.
- Maintain certain data tables and dimensions
- Create efficient data models in Power BI;
- Integrate multiple data sources (SQL Server Snowflake Excel API etc.) and ensure consistency and quality;
- Ensure ongoing performance optimization of Power BI models and reports;
- Support users and analysts across departments in using Power BI;
- Ensure technical and functional documentation of developed solutions;
- Participate in data governance and the evolution of BI best practices within the organization.
Qualifications :
Education: University degree in computer science business intelligence (BI) or a related field.
BI Experience: Relevant experience in BI development including significant work with Power BI.
Data Modeling and Analysis: Strong understanding of data modeling principles and ability to analyze complex business requirements.
Microsoft Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools such as Power Platform Power BI Power Query and DAX.
Databases: Solid knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases.
Data Architecture: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts ETL processes and data governance practices.
Creativity and Innovation: Talent for proposing innovative and effective solutions.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills strong team spirit autonomy and organizational abilities.
Languages: Proficiency in French and English both spoken and written*
*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
