POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design implementation management and monitoring of the organizations computer networks. This role ensures network performance reliability and security while leading network-related projects and providing mentorship to junior IT staff. The Senior Network Administrator will troubleshoot complex issues manage hardware/software upgrades and proactively improve network infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
  • Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of Windows/Linux servers desktop systems and mobile devices.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot software/hardware issues as they arise.
  • Support Active Directory DNS DHCP and other core infrastructure services.
  • Provide Tier 12 level support for LAN/WAN firewalls switches access points and VPN technologies.
  • Assist with network monitoring diagnostics and documentation.
  • Help ensure optimal performance and uptime of internal network infrastructure.
  • Provide responsive and friendly technical support to internal staff on hardware software and network-related issues.
  • Setup and maintain user accounts permissions email accounts and group policies.
  • Document helpdesk tickets solutions and standard operating procedures.
  • Support vulnerability scans patch management and antivirus/endpoint protection systems.
  • Assist in access control audits and IT asset inventory.
  • Follow security best practices to maintain a secure computing environment.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on IT infrastructure upgrades migrations and new tool implementations.
  • Participate in cloud and virtualization initiatives (AWS Azure).
  • Contribute to automation and scripting efforts for routine tasks.
Perform additional duties as required to support the departments effective operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in a multi-platform IT support environment.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server Active Directory Office 365 and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP VLANs firewalls).
  • Exposure to scripting (PowerShell Bash) and virtualization (Hyper-V) is a plus.
  • Comfort with troubleshooting hardware/software and interacting with end users.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and take ownership of challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to bend twist reach push pull and operate office machinery and motor vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift to (50) pounds
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
The role primarily aligns with standard business hours; however flexibility is essential to accommodate varying schedules based on business demands. This may include evening weekend and holiday shifts as well as hours outside of typical departmental operations.
