Job Description

RN - Cardiac ICU (Permanent Role)

Location: Dallas TX 75226
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff and manage unit workflow during the night shift
  • Conduct in-depth clinical assessments and prioritize individualized care plans
  • Adjust care strategies based on patient outcomes and condition changes
  • Foster therapeutic relationships with patients families and staff
  • Educate patients families and staff to enhance care decisions and self-management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately and follow up to ensure accountability
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and promote a culture of safety and efficiency
  • Support professional development of staff through coaching and feedback
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital and regulatory standards
  • Ensure ethical compassionate and patient-centered care delivery
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (Bachelors Preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience (ICU/Cardiac ICU)
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) Active Texas License
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required (or within 30 days of hire)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practice state laws and regulatory standards
  • Familiarity with hospital policies and patient safety guidelines
  • Proficiency in clinical terminology medication management and critical care protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Proficient with electronic medical records Microsoft Office and clinical systems
  • Strong leadership decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
