Job Description

Radiology / Interventional Radiology (Permanent Role)

Location: Plano TX 75093
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions:
  • Perform high-quality IR procedures according to established protocols and within appropriate timeframes.
  • Follow procedural and production standards to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Use AIDET communication techniques to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Educate and communicate with patients and families regarding procedures and preparation.
  • Prepare procedure area and position patients using appropriate equipment settings and safety measures.
  • Ensure radiation drug and infection-control safety protocols are consistently followed.
  • Utilize proper sterile techniques and maintain strict hand hygiene.
  • Maintain equipment and procedural area in compliance with quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Report equipment or safety issues to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor supply levels and assist in inventory management.
  • Screen all individuals entering the procedure area per safety guidelines.
  • Accurately document patient information procedure details consent and imaging records.
Key Success Factors:
  • Proficient in IR procedures and knowledgeable about imaging protocols.
  • Capable of explaining complex procedures in simple terms to patients.
  • Works independently and handles tasks without supervision.
  • Remains calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Provides excellent customer service and focuses on patient satisfaction.
  • Administers emergency care effectively when required.
  • Adapts care approach to diverse patient age groups: newborn pediatric adult and geriatric.
  • Continuously updates knowledge and maintains professional development.
Licensing & Certification Requirements:
  • Required: ARRT-R (Radiography)
  • Preferred (Must obtain within 2 years of hire):
    • ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiography) OR
    • ARRT-CI (Cardiac-Interventional Radiography) OR
    • ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography)
