Job Description
RN - Surgical Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role
Location: Waco TX 76712
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of critically ill patients.
- Develop implement and continuously evaluate personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families offering emotional support and clinical education.
- Promote informed health decisions through effective teaching and documentation of learning needs.
- Delegate tasks appropriately ensuring follow-up and accountability.
- Apply sound judgment problem-solving skills and clinical knowledge in complex situations.
- Maintain professional boundaries and prioritize safety efficiency and evidence-based practices.
- Support and mentor colleagues; contribute to staff development and community health initiatives.
- Strong understanding of nursing care standards policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of state and local nursing regulations and ethical standards.
- Proficient in medical terminology pharmacology disease management and preventative care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to patient privacy and professional conduct.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse healthcare team.
- Comfortable using electronic medical records Microsoft Office and clinical software systems.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified).
