Job Description
Location: McKinney TX 75071
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
- Deliver direct patient care according to established protocols and individualized treatment plans.
- Triage assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and patient reactions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document all patient interactions interventions and observations accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and their families on care plans discharge instructions and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with physicians specialists and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond to medical emergencies with competence and composure.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a hospital Emergency Room/Emergency Department RN
- Strong understanding of nursing standards emergency procedures and state/federal regulations
- Solid knowledge of health conditions medications and side effects
- Commitment to patient privacy ethics and professionalism
- Clear and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Empathy patience and adaptability when dealing with patients and families
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office email EMR systems scheduling and payroll tools)
