Position Responsibilities:
HR Administration:
- Day to day support for the HR team including scheduling travel managing the calendar organizing team meetings and activities and other special projects
- Participate as an active member of the Admin Group at Granite and attend monthly meetings
- Prepare and ship supply and swag box for new hires
- Manage all invoice processing via Nexus Payables for the Human Resources team
- Process all expenses for the Human Resources team via the expense management system
- Handle a variety of sensitive and confidential information/materials with a strong sense of discretion
- Create relationships with internal and external contacts and become a recognized HR Team resource
- Conduct regular I9 audits
- Maintain yearly data for annual OSHA 300A logs and complete and distribute all logs by January 31st of each year
- Facilitate labor law poster distribution using online tracking system

Recruiting and Onboarding:
- Source and screen resumes correspond with candidates schedule interviews and maintain the applicant tracking system
- Develop relationships with new hires through correspondence and by assisting with pre-employment activity
- Proactively support new hires research and update processes communications and presentation for the overall onboarding experience
Budgeting:
- Coordinate the creation of the HR budget each year
- Manage process of reforecasting the Human Resources budget
- Review and provide explanation regarding the budget variances
Learning & Development:
- Facilitate StrengthsFinder process for all new hires
- Assist with training session logistics including maintaining and communicating attendee list confirming room set up and food/beverage needs ordering course materials etc.
Rewards and Recognition:
- Work with the head of HR to administer the peer-to-peer recognition system
- Manage Milestone Service Awards Living the Purpose Awards and Exceeding Expectations Awards including requesting checks from payroll ordering trophies managing logistics of getting awards to the correct locations etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED required
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 4-7 years prior related experience in an executive administrator role required.
- Prior HR knowledge preferred including general knowledge of concepts principles and practices of human resources and employment law
- Exceptionally good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge particularly in Outlook
- High degree of orientation for detail accuracy thoroughness and organization required
- Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to independently move throughout the office and consistently and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel Required:
Minimal travel up to 5%.
