As we continue to grow we are seeking a Senior Human Resources to join our leadership this strategic role you will oversee all aspects of HR from high-level strategy to hands-on operations ensuring our people and culture thrive. You will collaborate closely with other executives manage and mentor our current HR generalist and lead key HR initiatives that support our remote-friendly and globally distributed team.

Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with MAFs business goals and core values. Provide guidance to the executive team on organizational design workforce planning and talent development.
- HR Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day HR functions including recruitment onboarding performance management employee relations employer branding and compliance with relevant labor laws. Ensure HR policies and processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Remote Team Culture: Champion a remote-friendly culture that keeps our distributed team engaged and connected. Implement initiatives for effective remote onboarding communication and team-building. Develop policies that support flexible work while maintaining high performance and accountability.
- Talent Development & Retention: Lead programs for employee training career development and succession planning. Foster a positive work environment where team members can grow their skills and advance in their careers. Monitor engagement and retention metrics and take action to continuously improve the employee experience.
- HR Team Management: Manage and support our HR Generalist (and future HR team members) providing mentorship guidance and professional growth opportunities. Ensure the HR team delivers excellent service to employees and leadership.
- Executive Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on all human capital matters. Work closely with department heads to address staffing needs advise on performance evaluations and guide organizational change initiatives. Contribute to cross-functional decision-making as the voice of people strategy.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelors degree (or higher) in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. 7 years of progressive HR experience including at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- HR Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of HR best practices across recruitment performance management compensation & benefits and compliance. Familiarity with Italian and European HR regulations and labor laws is highly preferred.
- Strategic Vision & Execution: Proven ability to align HR strategy with business objectives and to drive initiatives from concept to completion. Experience developing and implementing HR policies and programs that support company growth and culture.
- Remote/Distributed Work: Prior experience managing HR for remote or distributed teams. Comfortable designing policies and engagement strategies for a workforce that operates across multiple locations and time zones.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and collaborate with executives and employees at all levels. Experience coaching managers and leading an HR team with a hands-on approach.
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Able to use data and HR metrics to inform decisions. Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional language skills are a plus given our base in Italy and international team.
Preferred: HR certification (e.g. SHRM-SCP CIPD) and experience in the tech or digital advertising industry are advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: An attractive executive-level gross annual salary (RAL) ranging between 45000 and 55000 depending on your experience and the seniority of the role.
This package is aligned with industry benchmarks for HR leadership roles.
Performance-based bonuses or incentives may also be considered in addition to the base salary. - Remote Work & Flexibility: This position is remote-friendly. Work from anywhere within a compatible time zone (our core operations are in Central Europe USA and APAC) with flexibility in working hours. Remote Work Eligibility
MAF is headquartered in Italy (UTC1) and has a globally distributed team. We welcome candidates from any location who can align their work schedule with European business hours. Candidates based in Italy or the EU are ideal but we are open to other locations for the right candidate. Occasional travel for team off-sites or key meetings may be expected (with plenty of advance notice).
