The City of Seabrook is seeking a passionate and motivated Community and Economic Development Coordinator to join our team. If you thrive on building relationships supporting local businesses and creating vibrant communities we want to hear from you!
About the Role:
This position plays a key role in Seabrooks growth and vitality. Youll work closely with city leadership local businesses developers and community members to drive business attraction retention and expansion efforts. Youll also coordinate public board meetings and support strategic initiatives that enhance quality of life in Seabrook.
What Youll Do:
Develop and implement economic development strategies and marketing campaigns
Support new and existing businesses with resources incentives and site selection assistance
Track and ensure compliance with EDC agreements and incentive programs
Coordinate and staff EDC Planning & Zoning and Board of Adjustment meetings
Maintain commercial property databases and respond to public inquiries
Plan community events and represent Seabrook at trade shows and outreach activities
What Were Looking For:
Bachelors degree in Public Administration Economic Development Business or related field
At least two years of experience in public administration or economic development
Strong communication organizational and research skills
Tech-savvy with a creative eye for marketing photography and basic video editing
Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple priorities
A valid Texas drivers license
Bonus Skills:
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Canva CivicPlus and/or GIS
Drone operation experience
Familiarity with the Texas Public Information Act and local government processes
