Job Description
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Network Team focused on ensuring the performance reliability and scalability of our global network infrastructure. As an SRE you will bridge the gap between network engineering and operations by automating workflows improving observability and supporting mission-critical services
Monitor maintain and scale enterprise network infrastructure across data centers branch offices and Azure cloud.
Manage and troubleshoot Cisco networking gear including switches routers and wireless controllers.
Administer Palo Alto firewalls (NGFW) including policy updates threat prevention tuning and global protect VPNs.
Implement and optimize Azure Virtual Networks Network Security Groups ExpressRoute and VPN gateways.
Design and maintain infrastructure as code for network configuration and deployment (Ansible Terraform etc.).
Create and maintain network monitoring dashboards (SNMP telemetry NetFlow Azure Monitor).
Improve incident response workflows including alerting escalation and root cause analysis for network outages.
Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure end-to-end system reliability.
Enforce and track SLOs SLIs and SLAs related to network availability and performance.
Identify and remediate security gaps in network architecture integrating with InfoSec policies.
Qualifications :
4 years of experience in Network Engineering SRE or DevOps roles.
Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (IOS NX-OS) Layer 2/3 VLANs STP BGP OSPF.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls Panorama and VPNs.
Proven experience with Azure networking: VNets Azure Firewall NSGs Application Gateways Load Balancers.
Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python Bash or PowerShell.
Experience with IaC and automation tools: Ansible Terraform CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with observability tools (e.g. Grafana Prometheus Zabbix Azure Monitor/Log Analytics).
Strong understanding of network security principles and firewall rulebase management.
Comfortable with Linux systems administration and working in hybrid environments.
Technical Skills
- Designing implementing and maintaining enterprise level network solutions
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN WLAN WAN)
- Excellent understanding and experience of administrating network devices (Switches Routers Firewalls)
- Azure network administration experience
- Experience working with Cisco IOS and NX-OS software Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and Cisco ISE (Identity Service Engine)
- Experience working with firewalls (Cisco and PaloAlto)
- Good knowledge in 2FA/MFA and PKI/certificate solutions
- Expert knowledge on administrating DNS DHCP and active directory
- Very good industry experience with patching/upgrading network equipment and reviewing software vulnerabilities
- Experience with Pal Alto firewalls configuring and troubleshooting will be added advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work effectively individually or in a team-oriented collaborative environment with great interpersonal and consulting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information with clients both internal and external (C-level to front-line employees)
- Ability to research and apply knowledge effectively
- Managing network infrastructure and implementation including monitoring of network traffic and server optimization
